Birch Tree

I’m hoping our recent dump of heavy snow won’t permanently damage our birch tree, which is normally vertical, not horizontal. Poor thing.



Winter Visitors

One of the things I love about winter is our little snowbird friends that visit from the north during these short days. I’m always happy to see the black-eyed juncos hopping around. They dress formally for dinner, garbed in white vests and charcoal tailcoats.
