Dogwood in Bloom

Dogwood2

This tree is the third one we’ve tried in this spot. The first two fell prey to a rust to which dogwoods are particularly susceptible. This one is a few years old now and seems to have established itself nicely. This is by far the best blossom year it’s had. I’m not sure if it finally got old enough or it’s the cool and wet spring, but it’s lovely.

Predicted high today only 63°.  At this rate we may not have pickable herbs or tomatoes before the fall frost.
