Archive for April, 2013

Steve put down pre-emergent on the lawn.  There was a small (about 24 hours) window to get it down before the snow started again.

Bowl of pansies

Put out pansies on Monday, April 29.

Weeping willows in full leaf

Always the first trees of the season to leaf, I saw this on Monday, April 29 from the Fairview Community Center parking lot.  A happy sight indeed.

Catch up

Some things I can remember that occurred before I started this blog.

First robin about April 20.
First popup of my crocus, about April 22
First showing of tulips in front, always earlier than the rest: April 14
First  male goldfinches in bright yellow regalia when we got back from DC, so before April 12
All piled up snow from previous storms gone: about April 28
